Ryan Lawson, LLC, is a multi-faceted interior design firm founded in 2005 in New York City.
Interested in art and design from a young age, Ryan Lawson studied both architecture and painting at Washington University in St. Louis before going on to New York to work for noted designer Eric Cohler and in collaboration with architect Steven Learner.
Ryan’s background in architecture helps him to understand how clients want to live or work in their space and translate that understanding into beautiful, comfortable and dynamic interiors. His strong appreciation of contemporary and modern art and his deep understanding of the history of design guide all of his work, whether he is creating custom pieces for a project or working with a client to curate their collection of vintage furniture and objects. He has become known for his sophisticated and layered interiors that have the sense of having been decorated over many years, yet remain unexpected and current.
With the help of his talented team, Ryan has completed and continues to work on projects across the United States. His projects include the renovation and decoration of dozens of New York City apartments, the complete decoration of a beach house in Sag Harbor, New York, the total renovation and complete redecoration of a lake house in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, the remaking of a home in Palm Springs, California, the restoration and decoration of a Modernist home in New Canaan, Connecticut, as well as multiple retail locations for Faherty Brand in New York City and Los Angeles, California.
